Ensuring Microsoft and Windows updates are allowed

1. Create a filter of type URL domain by choosing URL domain from the <Please choose filter type> menu and clicking Add new filter.
2. Name it Auto updates in the Title box
3. Enter the following lines in the domain box:

   windowsupdate.com
   c.microsoft.com
   windowsupdate.microsoft.com
   update.microsoft.com
   

4. If you want to also allow access to Adobe updates add the following lines:

   armmf.adobe.com
   armdl.adobe.com
   

5. Click Save
6. At the top of the access rules section, click to add a new rule (the upward facing arrow with a plus sign on). You should ensure this is above any Blocked if not logged in rules.
7. In the settings section, choose Allowed instead of Blocked and pick Auto updates from the menu next to If.
8. Click Save
9. You will see a new access rule called Allowed if Auto updates
10. Click Make changes live
