LVC_Guest Wi-Fi

• The Wireless Key for the LVC_Guest needs to be changed first thing on a Monday.
• The wireless key must follow the rules below:
  • 9 character Key
  • 1st character must be a upper-case letter
  • 2nd, 3rd and 4th character must be random numbers
  • 5th and 6th character must be lower-case letters
  • 7th, 8th and 9th character must be random numbers
    • Example key: G147ua934
• Send an email to guestwifi@lvc.org
• VLAN 2

Note - When a SSID Password is changed every WAP broadcasting that SSID will reboot and apply the new settings at the same time

Staff

• MAC Address Filtering
• This is for staff issued devices and staff personal devices
• Password is cablesarebetter
• To add a mac address use the program '\\resources\itsupport$\Software\unifi_remote.hta'
  1. Enter username and password and hit Logon
  2. Enter MAC address, must be all lower-case and with colons, then click Add.
• On main network

Student

• MAC Address Filtering
• This is for student personal devices
• Password is iheartwifi
• To add a mac address use the program '\\resources\itsupport$\Software\unifi_remote.hta'
  1. Enter username and password and hit Logon
  2. Enter MAC address, must be all lower-case and with colons, then click Add.
• Only students with expressed permission from Tim Derby or Trevor Parker are allowed wireless access
• see the below excel file for a list of students and devices that are allowed Wi-Fi access:

• VLAN 40

LVC_Hidden

• This is for School owned laptops that have been built using the student image in MDT
• On main network
