Stage 1

Launch Mail.App and then choose "Preferences" from the Mail menu and then select the Accounts tab to get the "Accounts" window. Click on the plus sign at the bottom left to get to the add new account window (see stage 2). Alternatively, choose "Add Account..." from the File menu which will take you straight to add new account window.
