Auto-Answer

(this page refers to our PTD4 handsets. Other handsets may have similar settings)

Enabling Auto-Answer will make your handset answer the phone (on speakerphone) after a certain number of seconds.

You can see whether it is enabled by looking for an icon like this at the top of the screen:

To enable/disable:

  1. Press the Menu button
  2. Select Features and press OK
  3. Go down to Auto Answer and press OK
  4. Select your extension number and press OK
  5. The left and right buttons will enable and disable the setting
  6. You can also adjust the number of seconds (default is 5)
  7. When you have finished, press OK to make the settings live
