Back | Up | ForwardStage 2N.B. This walkthrough is based on the Windows client for OpenVPN, but the procedure is very similar for other platforms. You should ensure you are using version 2.1 or later.
Firstly, the client software should be installed. Links are present on the NetManager's administration pages to the relevant versions. For Windows, we recommend using OpenVPN GUI which gives a simple to use front end. The latest version can be found here.
Download the software and run the installer. Click on Next to go through all the steps: 
During the process, you may see a warning about software not passing Windows Logo testing. Click on "Continue Anyway":
Once installed, you will see the OpenVPN GUI icon and a disconnected network connection in your system tray. Right-clicking on the OpenVPN GUI icon gives a few basic options:
