Your incoming mail server is a POP3 server. The Incoming mail server is called pop3.ptlnet.com. The Outgoing mail server depends on your ISP. To send mail out, you must not use smtp.ptlnet.com. You should always use your ISP's SMTP servers (e.g. if you connect to the Internet with NTLWorld use smtp.ntlworld.com. For Freeserve, use smtp.freeserve.com. For MadAsAFish, use mail.madasafish.com). You may need to ask your ISP for the name of their SMTP server.

Mail step 4
Your Account name (a.k.a. username) and Password will have been given to you when you signed up for your PTLNet mail account.
Remember to tick the Remember password box if you don't want to type in your password every time.
